Parent Communication Video October 2016

UV Learn Family, please check out this quick video that summarizes October, celebrating a fun, productive, successful month! My goal is to push these out at least once per quarter as a way to showcase our kids and staff! Thank YOU for checking it out here and continuing to stay dialed into us via #UVlearn on Twitter and Instagram!  It's our story, let's all take part in telling it!"

Twitter Information #UVLearn

In addition to Facebook, we are going to use Twitter to showcase the daily AWESOMENESS at Union Valley!  Many of our staff members spent time this summer creating Twitter accounts and have made a commitment to tweeting out pictures of learning in action during the school year.  To get connected with us via Twitter, you can do the following:

1. Create a Twitter account via twitter.com.
2. After that or if you already have an account, search the hashtag #UVlearn.  Mr. Erickson (@PrincipalPaul) has already started populating the hashtag with a couple of pictures!
3. UV will not have a Twitter account.  Rather the teachers will have individual accounts and use #UVlearn to share and promote the daily awesomeness in our school.  By NOT having an account, you, as a parent, can also tweet out the daily awesomeness you find in our school!  All you have to do is end your tweet in #UVlearn and it will be right there with the rest of the comments and pictures.  Feel free to mention staff members as well by using their Twitter handles.  We're excited about the potential of parents joining in the fun to positively promote and publicize Union Valley!

**Disclaimer--We will use Facebook and Powerschool Announcements to communicate important information related to dates and activities.  Twitter and #UVlearn will be used to promote the school through pictures and quick comments.**

Buhler USD 313 Education Foundation Selling Victory Lane Pavers

The Buhler USD 313 Education Foundation is selling pavers to become part of Victory Lane at the Buhler High School football stadium. All proceeds from the paver sales will help award teacher grants and provide student assistance and student scholarships. The inscription of your choice will be engraved on the 6-by-9 inch paver, and will be a lasting reminder of the community support that promotes the Foundation. Each paver is $150.

These pavers are a wonderful opportunity to: recognize personal achievement; honor a favorite teacher, coach or staff member; place in memory or in honor of parents, grandparents, children or classmates; commemorate birthdays or anniversaries; celebrate family milestones; create your own unique way to express school spirit; celebrate team accomplishments; give as a graduation present; offer business support.
