Award-Winning Opportunities for Learning
Buhler USD 313 has been awarded the KSDC Professional Development Award from the Kansas Staff Development Council. Our wiki web page presents the award criteria and application, including audio, video, and exemplars of excellence in professional learning. The web page also shows the timeline for development of PLCs (Professional Learning Communities) in our district.
Buhler USD 313 is a charter member of the Educational Services and Staff Development Association of Central Kansas (ESSDACK). Through this service center, staff development and continuing education opportunities are offered to staff members. Additional staff development activities are planned through the District Leadership Team and the Professional Development Council.
Staff Development Council
The district’s staff development council includes representatives from each building’s certified staff and the assistant superintendent of instruction has an Individual Development Plan (IDP). The council provides leadership and direction, and emphasizes implementation and results rather than demonstration of knowledge gained through professional development activities.
